Our stay at Watermark was magical!
Our stay at Watermark was magical! The house was beautiful and being able to snorkel off our deck was great! Kalo and his family were so generous, they really did make us feel at home. I highly recommend having a meal from Julie, the food was amazing. Thank you so much to Jinny, Kalo and the family I hope we can get back there soon!
Sal's at Lakatoro is something really special.
We have stayed at a LOT of places with AirBnB, in multiple countries, and they have all been great experiences. But Sal’s at Lakatoro is something really special. The location couldn’t be better–beautiful, quiet, and serene. The cottage is lovely, sparkling clean, and well designed for visitors. There are so many nice details, like very soft bedding, organic and locally made shampoo and conditioner. The kitchenette is well stocked, so it’s easy to cook a meal and sit out on the veranda and enjoy the view. As others have mentioned, the outdoor shower is heavenly. It’s true that if you stay here, you are not in the center of town, but that’s a plus, we thought, and it is easy to get a bus / hire a driver to go where you want to (and cheaper than a rental car, actually). We highly, highly recommend this place. If you have the chance to have Rose make you lap-lap, that’s a special experience, too, and delicious. Also, our interactions with 16 Degrees South (the management company) were excellent. We always had prompt responses to our inquiries, and they were so helpful in setting up our transfer when we arrived, as well as arranging a couple of activities for us. Both Jinny and Larissa were very kind. Overall, 6 stars out of 5, and we hope to go back.
Go. Check it out!
Go. Check it out. Have a long lunch at the Moso. Walk over to the other side of the island for a snorkel. Kalo does great day tours. He is very knowledgeable about indigenous traditions and customs, was very patient with us and we have made some lifelong memories. This place is paradise.
