A back to nature authentic island experience
The authentic Moso Island Experience for adventurers seeking a back to nature authentic island experience with a genuine connection to the village people, this is the place you need to come. We were welcomed with open arms by Kalo, Julie and their family. As a couple travelling with our 10-year-old daughter, we decided that our Vanuatu experience was to be an immersion with the people of Moso. A peaceful and tranquil setting on the water’s edge with snorkeling and kayaking access at your front door. A forty-minute walk across the island to the local Moso Resort private beach with outstanding snorkeling in shallow waters, easy for beginners. Make sure you take the full day boat tour with Kalo around the island where he will share with you some of his secret hidden gems and stories, we even saw a giant turtle and dugong. Futhermore, Kalo will also take you to some of the mainland resorts like Havannah, Francesca’s or Wahoo bar for a fabulous sunset experience. The villa is equipped with everything you need for a back to nature luxury basics holiday. Generous servings of honest and hearty village food prepared by Julie upon request and definitely made with love. Undoubtedly the highlight of our visit was the genuine connection we made with Kalo and his extended village family in Tassiriki which is about a ten-minute walk from the villa. With invitations to join them for a Pentecostal Sunday mass and a trip to the local school, they are beautiful island people with generous hearts of joy. If you are like us and not attracted to the westernized resort but still want a lovely holiday that’s not a backpacker experience this is the authentic middle mark. Beautiful Jinny from 16 Degrees South will provide you will all the details you need as their agent.
If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful, secluded, beachfront hideaway then look no further!
If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful, secluded, beachfront hideaway then look no further! We spent a week at Sal’s where we were able to snorkel amongst amazing coral and fish 20 metres from the house, eat beautiful fresh fruit picked by Sal, John and Rose and fall asleep to the sound of the waves every night. The property itself has all of the amenities you will need and a lot of thought has been put into the details of the property. We loved the outdoor shower and the beautiful King-size bed! Sal and John really respect your privacy, but are always available to provide tips and recommendations of places to visit and fantastic restaurants. The location is wonderful if you are looking to be a little outside of Port Vila (which we would recommend). We hired a car for the week which was a fantastic way to get around, giving us the freedom and flexibility to explore as we wished. Of course though, there is a great bus network on the island as well. We have travelled the world and stayed in many Airbnb properties. It is safe to say that Sal’s is THE BEST PLACE we have stayed. A wonderful location, a beautiful property and the best hospitality you could ever ask for. Thank you Sal, John, Jinny and Rose for giving us such an unforgettable holiday!
Pacifique Vue far exceeded our expectations
Pacifique Vue far exceeded our expectations. The house was kept sparkling clean by Joy, the lovely maid who lives on site. Everything was well appointed, making this stay feel more like a luxury hotel than someone’s villa! Some points worth noting if you are considering this property; 1) it is not close to town so you will need a rental car – with a trip to town taking about 30 minutes (each way). This is both a blessing and a curse, its extremely quiet but you will need to be organised as a trip to town can be a bit of a pain 2) the reef to the rear of the property is world class with extremely healthy coral life but it is a rocky entry so some experience traversing sharp coral would be beneficial – otherwise, pack reef shoes and you should be ok!
